Junyu Wu
Postdoc
Dr. Junyu Wu received his PhD from the University of Hong Kong in 2025, where he studied the mechanisms of progenitor exhausted T cell maintenance and anti-tumor immunity leveraging multi-omics bioinformatic approaches. He joined the Kenny lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2026, focusing on how choline metabolism regulates immunity and metabolic diseases. Outside the lab, he enjoys jogging, classical music, and playing the violin.
Divya Rajan
Research Associate
Divya received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Hunter College. Previously, she volunteered as an undergraduate research assistant at The Rockefeller University, where she studied the interaction between genetics and diet in genetically modified mouse models with altered immune function. Divya joined the Kenny Lab at Mount Sinai in 2026, where she will contribute to ongoing studies investigating tissue-specific functions of nutrients. Outside the lab, she enjoys reading and spending time with her dog, Leo.
Kaizer Kharawala
Volunteer
Kaizer is a recent graduate from Rutgers New Brunswick who majored in Economics with a minor in Biological Sciences. He is currently in the medical school application process and helps with lab tasks. Outside of the lab, Kaizer works as an EMT.
Tim Kenny
Principal Investigator
Tim went to Bucknell University for his undergraduate education and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for graduate school. He then performed postdoctoral training at The Rockefeller University before returning to Sinai as Faculty. Outside of lab, he enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring the parks and museums of NYC with his family.
